Chapter 26

Gabriel:

As Grayson walks out of the bathroom, i glance at my wristwatch: 11:32 AM.

”Do you wanna go on a date?” I ask her.

“When?”

“Right now! We could go get brunch.” She smiles, but it quickly dissipates.

”Gabe, you’re supposed to be at the hospital,” she states. I roll my eyes.

”I’m fine. After sleeping next to you I’m pretty much healed. Can I please take you out?” I give her my most sincere expression.

She huffs in defeat.

“Fine. But promise me you’ll go get a check-up at the hostpital later.”

”Alright.” I say, grabbing my wallet and car keys. A couple minutes later, we’re driving on the street. Gray’s sitting on the passenger seat, looking out the window. I smugly move my hand from the gear shift, to her thigh, still concentrated on the road. From the corner of my eye I see her raise a brow at me, but no reaction.

“Where are we even going?” She asks.

”Olive Garden,” I reply. She gasps.
