Gabriel:

I watch as she runs back to the castle, sniffling, before looking down at the now unconscious body beneath me. I couldn't understand why Grayson was crying. This male was asking for a beating; he had approached her twice, trying to take her away from me, and even put his hands on her.

Wait... If he can feel the mate bond towards her, that means she can feel it too. Fuck, that’s why she kept trying to stop me.

I growl angrily, wrapping my hands around his neck, wanting to kill him right here. I can’t let my mate have feelings for anyone else.

My grip loosens when I remember Grayson’s crying face a few moments ago. If I kill him, she surely won’t forgive me. Plus, she’ll feel the terrible pain of their bond being broken, and I can’t let my mate go through any pain...
