Moving ahead, dye was transferred into a car with chains tied to her hands. If there was any way that she could escape those, she would. She preferred death to being humiliated.
Anita was made to stand amidst the council of elders. Her head was upright which betrayed what she actually felt inside. Anger and despondency filled her heart. Sadness clouding her features.
Magnus refused to be fooled by her somber countenance. The hush whispers calmed down when he raised his hand. They were not hear to speak about her, but to talk of the way forward.
Her fate was to be decided here. " We all know the reason we are gathered here. What is the befitting punishment?"
Anita stared at the Alphas present. Her gaze met Derek's and she saw the sadness in his eyes.
