Chapter 6

It's Sunday afternoon, and Emerald is in her room trying to get some rest. She just finished doing the laundry while cleaning the house, and she doesn't feel well. Jace left the other day and has not come back, and she was praying that he would never come back until she got some rest. "Is that what you do while I'm away? Resting?" he asked angrily.
