Chapter 48 The Betrayal Is Real

"Ms. Lea Amarin, please enter the judging room," called a woman with a committee tag on her shirt.

Eloise squeezed Lea's hand hard. "Good luck, Lea. I wish you all the best."

"Thank you, Eloise. Don't worry too much, OK?"

Lea tidied her clothes and stepped into the judging room. There were several people in the room, but the one who stood out the most was a man in a green beret and wooden-rimmed glasses.

He stood out as he sat in the middle of several other people, with an eccentric appearance and a very sullen face like someone who had just lost all his stock.

"Mr. Maximo, this is the last audition participant, Ms. Lea Amarin," said the woman who had called Lea.

Maximo Alo, a renowned director of video clips and short films, raises his hands in the air in dramatic fashion.

"Lastly? Oh my God, what are we supposed to do if this one is just as bad as the last one?"

A slender man dressed like an office worker, in a shirt, trousers, and tie, cleared his throat to Maximo's right.
