Nadia's POV
I arrived late to the hotel, where the art auction is taking place, my evil scheming uncle had rented a cab to drop me off, the reason being that he does not want Lorenzo to become suspicious of the fact that he sent me there.
The hotel is five-star and located close to the beach, as soon as I arrived I was told that the event has been rescheduled to hold on a different date that would be conveyed to me soon.
Something about the whole arrangement has never felt right to me, and more disappointing is the fact that this new occurrence might mean that I will not be able to see Lorenzo anytime soon, but a part of me was glad that I am not anywhere close to my uncle house.
I will rather live in a desert than share the same roof
