Chapter 87 - The Beginning of Indifference

Chelsea followed behind Dylan, heading for the study. They got to the study and he opened the door for her, allowing her to go in before him. She looked at him but his expression was totally blank. She took her eyes off him and went inside.

He followed after her and slammed the door shut behind him. He walked gently to the middle of the room and stood before her, looking her straight in the eye but his face was still void of expressions.

"Why did you want to see me?" he calmly asked, his tone laced with neither hate nor love. It was as though he was just talking to his subordinate at the office. The way he spoke to Selina and others.

She heaved. She found it difficult to look him back in the eyes so she lifted the Zero Halliburton and kept her gaze on it.

"Because of this" she replied gently.

He squinted his eyes. "And what is that?" he asked.

"A tribute I collected from Stone" she replied, her eyes still fixed on the Halliburton.
