Her daughter would usually fall asleep while breastfeeding. Daniella waited until AJ was soundly asleep before she transferred her to their bed. “You’re still here?” She asked the man who was dozing off in his seat. “I waited for you. But Dani, don’t you think it’s better for AJ to sleep in the crib?” Yes, her bed was spacious considering that there were two queen-sized beds being put together in the room, but a child must be in the crib for safety precautions. It had been a week since Marcus left for the South to attend a birthday party but he was not back yet. She was worried and she missed him a lot. Every day, she went to his apartment if he has come home but there was no sign of Marcus. It wasn’t a busy day on the farm, and she was done with her monthly reports. She arranged the papers on top of her table before she went to the office of Mr. Velasquez to inquire about her lover. “Come in,” Samuel answered and Alicia immediately went inside and sat on the chair fronting her boss. “Good morning, Mr. Velasquez.” She greeted the man who was combing his hair with his hand and damn, he looked gorgeous even if he was already forty years old! Just by looking at her boss, she could tell that Samuel was good in bed and Jessica was lucky to have someone like him. “Yes, Alicia. There was a coffee table inside the woman’s office and he sat in one of the chairs. When he noticed the newspaper on the table, he read it, but then he observed that Alicia’s office was neat and organized. Her office was slightly different from that of the usual accounting office where folders and documents were overwhelming and topsyturvy. He had been waiting for about five minutes and planned to just come back when the phone rang. Marcus picked up the receiver and before he could even speak, the man on the other line started to talk. “Love, we have the woman’s address already. Just give us your order and you will no longer have a rival with Marcus.” Marcus immediately returned the receiver to its place and hurried up to leave, but in the process, he accidentally hit the picture frame that was on her table. Daniella just gritted her teeth over her frustration with the man’s behavior. It was clear that Marcus enjoyed her discomfort! “What have you done? You let them believe that we’re back together!” She scolded him when they were alone upstairs. “Is it really hard to take me back, Dani?” Marcus seriously asked the question he had been wanting to ask her since the photo shoot in the garden. She clenched her jaw as she weighed her options before she yelled loudly and made sure that everyone in the house heard it. “Get out!” She screamed once more and Paloma came running to her side. “Ella, what’s wrong? Can’t you just forgive him? It was his commander’s fault!” Paloma came running to his rescue. She could understand that Ella was angry but it wasn’t her husband’s fault at all! Jessica maintained her pantry like a professional chef. If Samuel wanted to have steak for dinner, then it was steak for dinner, and Marcus was grateful that Jessica didn’t make a fuss when he took some premium slices for his dinner with Alicia. “How would you like your steak, medium or well done?” Marcus asked his guest to relax and feel at home while he prepared their dinner. “Well done,” Alicia answered. “But I can help you with the preparation,” she offered as she imagined what would Marcus look like in an apron. She couldn’t explain it in detail but imagining Marcus’ using his hands to create something delicious turned her mind towards the other things that his hand could be capable of doing…, especially on how to pleasure a woman. “Thanks, but I can manage,” Marcus said. He was grilling the steak when he realized that he forgot to take the wine Jessica prepared for him. “Hmmm, Alicia, I think I need your help,” he called her. “Sure, just tell me what to do.” Alicia

Ortega received Samuel’s email to check on someone but he believed that it wasn’t urgent, and his business with Lilian Murillo was more urgent than anything else. He just confirmed that Vanessa was his child and yet the woman didn’t mention anything about it, or demand something from him. He was treated like he was long dead and it made him furious! After lunch, he immediately set off to Oslob to see her, and this time, he would make it sure that she wouldn’t be able to deny his charm or his right for their child. There’s no way that he would allow her to ignore his existence! It was past dinnertime when he arrived in front of their gate and it was Paloma who let him in. “Ortega! Did you leave anything important in our house?” Paloma asked the agency owner who was a VIP on her birthday but the man left in a hurry with his friend Marcus Madrigal. After their mother’s birthday blast, Lilian and Daniella decided to explore the province of Bohol as their first trip together as single mothers. Together, they made a vow not to involve themselves with any son of Eve and just focused on their daughters. With just a backpack of things, they took an airconditioned bus to the town of Argao where they could ride a ferry to Loon Bohol. Daniella has made an arrangement with Hailey Tours for the car rental with the driver as they would need one to explore every town in Bohol and not just the famous tourist destinations. It would have been nice to travel leisurely with the money they got, but Lilian insisted that they should do it as ordinary tourists would. Argao was just approximately a two-hour drive from Oslob and there were regular ferries in Argao. “Are you excited Lil?” Daniella asked as they were on Ceres Bus to Argao. “A little, and a bit scared,” Lilian responded. Alicia was in a foul mood when she woke up. Everything was properly set up and all she had to do was to wait until he was unconscious. Well, he was knocked down before he was able to finish his steak and she thought that she would have him that night…but Samuel came with another bottle of wine. Samuel helped to settle down Marcus in his bedroom and then kept her company until nine in the evening. She threw a bunch of paper into the trash can as she recalled what Samuel told her when he came. Of all the times that he could quarrel with Jessica, why did it happen that night? After the first bottle, Samuel thanked her for being there to keep him company and it was also her boss who took her home…instead of Marcus. Well, there’s still proper timing for everything! Alicia didn’t lose hope even if fate seemed to disagreeable with her. With another ounce of determination, Alicia started doing her job as usual.
