Caleb Craige's
Mirna smiled at my words, tears were pooling at the corner of her eyes. She sniffed to suppress them and took a deep breath, then stood up and poured herself a glass of water. After gulping it down, I was expecting that she would be back professional but I was surprised when she walked towards me and hugged me from the side.
And because I was surprised, I was immobile for a while, didn't know what to do. Mirna was the type of person who doesn't show her affection too often especially with our setup, she rarely does this. But then after about two minutes, my arms moved to hug her back.
"Mirna, are you being soft now?" I joked which earned a chuckle and a playful slap from her at my arms.
"I'm still your strict assistant and aunt, Caleb. Just give me this time because I am glad that you are seeing things differently now and that you have a direction now. I guess I have to thank Hazel soon,"
"Thank me from what?"
