CHAPTER 42: LOCKED AWAY

I went to the secret room around the time that Susan and I agreed to meet. However, she was not there. I waited for a few minutes but there was no sign of her coming. I waited a bit longer and she still didn’t arrive, I was getting worried and impatient at the same time. Maybe she is just going to be a little late, maybe she is still getting the hammer. I couldn’t wait longer anymore, if someone sees me here they will get suspicious.

I made my way down to the dining room for lunch, Cariso will be waiting for me since it’s the weekend and he is at home. “Hi, I didn’t see you down for breakfast,” I said to him when I saw him at the table. “Yes, I didn’t have much of a breakfast today. Instead, I chose the healthier option and decided to go for a jog and just have coffee” he answered, his voice was low and I sensed that something was wrong. “Is everything okay?” I asked, the housekeeper
