Wendy looked out the window as she noticed the bangs on the door bad subsided. Where did the woman go?

"Maybe she left. She must have left after she stood there banging at Wendy's for close to a minute and didn't get a reply. Thank goodness. She heaved a sigh of relief. A voice in her head asked her to open the door and see if the lady really had gone away but another told her to saty put.

Her mind battled on which to do until she finally decided to have a look outside to see if the lady had gone away.

Wendy tiptoed as she walked across the room to her door and turned the keys in the keyhole. They made a little noise as she turned them in until they finally opened. Wendy unbolted the door and was about to open it when someone pushed it open and barged in.

"Did you think you could hide?" The woman said. "How could you go missing at the time of an important investigation like this" she said again as she stood beside Wendy who had just fallen to the ground.
