I carefully made my way towards the voices, trying my best to stay concealed. As I drew closer, I saw Oxacr, flanked by several of his most trusted lieutenants, shouting at Anelia.

"What do you think you're doing?" Oxacr bellowed. "You made a deal with me. You said you would be my mate for months!"

"I did," Anelia replied, her voice quiet but firm. "But I didn't realize what that would mean. I can't stay here with you. I don't belong here."

"Belong here?" Oxacr sneered. "You think you're too good for us?"

"It's not that," Anelia said quickly. "It's just... I'm not cut out for this life. I'm not a fighter. I'm not even a good hunter. I'm just not like the rest of you."
