Zake let out a low whistle. "You didn't," he said, shaking his head.

Wendy sighed and looked away, feeling embarrassed. "I know it was wrong, but I didn't want to see Amelia get hurt," she said softly.

Zake reached out and touched her hand lightly. "It's okay, Wendy," he said. "I know you did it out of love and loyalty to Amelia. You're a good friend."

Wendy looked up at him, her eyes wide. She was surprised at his understanding and compassion.

Zake smiled and moved closer to her. "You know, I've been wanting to tell you something for a while now," he said.

Wendy felt her heart racing as he reached out and touched her face. "What is it?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"I've had feelings for you since we first met, we dated and broke up but those feelings never really went away" Zake said. "You've been on my mind ever since, and I couldn't help but feel something for you."
