Kayla's POV.

"I should have known better... I should have seen through your deceit, Kayla! I shouldn't have dared to let my heart open up to you, foolishly believing you were meant for me!"

His words echoed relentlessly in my ears as I found myself alone in my dim, frigid chamber, cradling my legs close to my chest, near the edge of the bed.

With each tear streaming down my cheeks, I was struck by the crushing realisation that he would never be mine again.

"Why? Why must I always ruin good things? Why do I reluctantly play the role of the fool, just as he pointed out?" I whispered sorrowfully, my tears flowing uncontrollably.

I felt terrified and desperate to escape from the situation. I longed to find inner peace, but facing the aftermath of our heated argument proved to be a difficult challenge.
