" Why have I never heard of you?" I asked. " Like I said, I was banished. Once someone is banished they are never mentioned again." He says. " And you were in love with my mother?" I asked. " Very much. She was everything to me. We were dating. She came to the house to see me one night and I wasn't there. But my father was. And 9 months later, so were you." He says. " Your father raped your girlfriend." I say. " Yeah. I tried to follow what was happening with Stella as much as possible. But it wasn't easy. And I tried to follow how you were going but again, it wasn't easy. Not until you met Alpha Asher." He says. " And you've been watching me ever since?" I asked. " No ever since. But I've been keeping tabs. I know what you're doing. I know that you're trying to stop him." He says. " I will try and stop that son of a bitch for the rest of my life. He doesn't deserve to live. Not after everything he's done." I growled. " I agree. He might be my father, but I wouldn't m
I walked to the dungeon stairs and Asher followed but he stayed at the bottom of the stairs while I walked further into the dungeon. I passed Malia in her cell, another man in the cell beside her, another man beside him and then Carter was at the back. " They all belong to you?" I asked. " Yeah." Carter says. " I need to talk to your people before we decide to do anything. Where are they?" I asked. " I'll take you there." He says. " Do they know about me? And how we're related with the same goal?" I asked. " Yeah." He says. " Then I'll be fine going on my own. That's the way it has to be. Otherwise Asher won't let me go and you will all rot in these cell's. He'll never let you out." I admit to him. " Where is he? I can smell him." Carter says. " He's waiting by the stairs. Did you really think he was going to leave me alone with you after what you pulled today?" I asked. " I guess not. Alright, their just outside your territory. A valley called 'River Run'." He says
" Everyone. Get back. Towards the back of the room." I yelled. And I helped move the children to the back of the room and I stayed at the front while I could see the door moving with every thud that was being made. Like something was throwing it's entire body towards the shelter. The door was actually starting to move. It was moving under the heavy weight of whatever was on the outside. I stood at the front of everyone trying so hard not to panic but everyone else was panicking. I knew that I had to stay strong for them. " Ivy. Get back." Spencer yelled as I took a step forward. " What the hell is that thing?" Another women yelled. " A beast." I answered. But none of us knew what beast it could possibly be. It was large. I knew that much. It was vicious. I heard growling on the other side. The thudding stopped for a brief moment while I knew that warriors were trying to contain the beast. One women started crying hysterically in the shelter and she fell to the ground. I ran
IVY POV I didn't know how we got here. Jeremiah kept a blindfold on my face the whole time while we were coming here. We'd been travelling for hours and when the blindfold was finally removed I was standing in the middle of a grand mansion. It was a lot more than I expected for a hide out. And of course, Jackson made a magnificant entrance coming down the staircase. " Well, you will never believe my surprise when Jeremiah called me to tell me that you were still alive. Those bastards only had one job. To set up the bomb and make sure that you died in the bomb. But they couldn't even get that right." Jackson says. " Well, you have to admit. Not all of your members are exactly the sharpest tools in the shed." I say rolling my eyes. " Is that any way to talk to your former Alpha?" He asked. " Don't you mean father?" I asked. And I heard his pack gasp and whisper. " Father, what is she talking about?" His son Levi asked looking confused. " Oh. He never told you. He was the one
ASHER POV" When are we leaving?" Beau asked. " Just take it easy. We have to be smart about this." I say. " What the hell is wrong with you? We have their trail. We need to keep following it before we lose it. Do you want to lose Ivy?" Beau yelled at me. " She is my f**king mate. Of course not. I would never want to lose her. What the hell is your problem?" I yelled at him. " You're sitting here doing nothing." Beau yelled. " I am waiting for Carter to come back. He's gone to see his people. I think he's bringing them back with him. They are helping and we are all going after Jackson together. " How many men does he have?" Cole asked. " I don't know. That's what I have to wait and see. If he has enough men to scare Jackson and actually make a difference against his pack then we will go after them. Otherwise, we need to recruit." I say sitting on the couch in the living room. Spencer was sitting next to Cole and he put his arm around her while she quietly sobbed to herself. "
IVY POV Adter a week of being here I had checked every square inch of my bedroom and the bathroom attached but I couldn't find anything to help in my escape. Adam bought my meal in to me like he did every day. Only once a day. And I still tested and smelt the food before I tasted it. " So, how big has Jackson's army gotten?" I asked very casually. " How dumb do you think I am? There is a camera right there and they are listening to everything we are talking about. Why would I tell you anything?" He asked. " I don't know. I guess I was just hoping you're as dumb as you look." I say. " You're not much of a people person, are you?" He asked. " I love people. My friends and family. But you and this pack. Nope." I say. " Well, you better get used to it. Because you're going to be here for a while." He say. " Oh. So, he's not planning on killing me any time soon. Good to know." I say. And he looked at me weird. Like he was trying to figure out how he just gave that away. "
IVY POV It's been two days since i saw Freya and now was the moment of truth. I was actually taken out of my room for the first time since I've been here and I was led to a room that was set up like a hospital operating room. Jackson was there of course but I was as nervous as anything. I didn't know if this was going to work. I didn't know if I could do this. I was internally struggling with myself. I wanted to heal Freya. She was my half sister and I didn't have anything against her. She was just a child. But if I saved her I was afraid that she would grow up to be just like Jackson. That was something that I wouldn't be able to live with. Levi was left in charge of the pack while Jackson was in the room with me and I saw Freya lying on the bed looking at me. I approached the bed and I smiled down at her. But she could tell that it was a really nervous smile. So she asked me to come closer. And I leaned down to her so she could whisper something to me. " Just give them the
IVY POV " Come on Freya. We need to get the hell out of here." I say grabbing her hand and we walked to the door and I turned the handle and peeked out into the hall. There was no one to be seen, so we walked into the hallway and I knew that we were still on the second floor. I could smell smoke. And a lot of it. So I went to the side window and I could see fires in the woods that I know Asher set as a distraction to get through the boarder and I smiled at that. But then I looked down and I saw Asher leading his pack of thousands onto the field around the house and they were met with just as many warriors and they all collided with a massive thud and a lot of snarling and fighting. Freya gripped my hand tighter at the noise. She was scared so I turned away from the window and we started walking down the hallway again, being really careful about being quiet. When we came to the staircase I poked my head around first and I didn't see anyone there so we slowly walked down the stai
