CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

Aurora's POV.

I didn't know how much I had spent on the floor or wherever I was until a soft gust of wind hit my body and a hand tapped my shoulder.

I struggled to open my eyes, but the pain I felt around my eyes made me close them and I instead tried to use my hands to lift my weight up the floor.

I placed my fingers firmly on the floor in order to support me, still, the pain shot through my hands and I threw myself back on to the floor.

My body hurt. It was as if I was severely beaten with heavy logs of wood.

My nasal tract was hurting as a result of the wine that was thrown on my face , some which ran down my nostrils.

'Mia'. I called out , trying to ask for help. Why didn't she help me, when Carter and his party organizers, subjected me to this kind of humiliation and torture? Why didn't she come forted and fight for us?.
