"We have news." Beta Rivers said, signaling for the maids to leave. At his cue, they scurried away, careful not to anger their soon to be Alpha. He had quite the temper.

"Tell me."

"They couldn't do it. Alpha Bruce came in just in time to save her."

Marco's expression darkened and his claws elongated and ripped the chair he sat on. His eyes burned with rage. "What the fuck do you mean? She wasn't even within Bruce's territory. How could they fail?"
