Chapter Fifty-Two

I always loved science since I was a kid. It was the only thing that could make sense of everything and I've been obsessed with it.

I knew the earth always rotated around its own axis. It rotated eastward in prograde motion and the only reason we couldn't feel it was because we were all moving with it; at the same constant speed. I knew all of that because I read it somewhere and I read because I loved the knowledge that I gained from reading.

However, when someone said the world was spinning, they weren't talking about Earth's rotation. For the first time, I could understand them as my head felt heavier and heavier with each amount of hit I took.

As I laid there, completely powerless, I looked at Blake's face. "You got what you want. You've beaten me up and I didn't resist or fight back. Please spare Jess and Colton."

My jaw hurt just by saying that. It felt like it might fall off. I should've evaded his kick but I knew
