At some point, Jana's 'gang' was indeed related with 'vandalism' before and another acts of disturbances in the community. But she would argue that those initial actions was not from 'her' but the original soul. Hence why the first time she transferred in the mission and was aware of the surface plot, she immediately made a few preparations.

First, she made her 'group' legal with certificates claiming authenticity and that they were just harmless students who wanted to earn honestly by doing group work and find belongingness in the school where they were usually called 'outcasts'. Complete with parent consent and the necessary counseling one by one.

Now second, for Jana's 'motive' in creating this 'group'. That's where the pill that Vivien gave her became a huge help. With the excuse of her 'terminal unknown illness', Anthony won't have to be questioned for their purpose like raising support and comfort for her while recieving treatment.
