Chapter 44-Insult

Matilda didn’t invite Travis’ lawyer for lunch. Even she was annoyed by what happened. It seems that the young man’s heart is further away from them because of what happened earlier.

“Mom, the food is ready on the table,” Lovely greeted the two happily while looking behind them.

“Stop looking for what’s not there and feed the dog the food that’s been prepared!” Angeline was annoyed with her sister.

“What? What happened and he wasn't with you? I thought he was the one who brought you home,” Lovely asked in disbelief.

Instead of answering her sister, she turned around.

“Angeline, calm down! Remember you're pregnant so you can’t be hungry!” Matilda angrily reminded her daughter.

Angeline suddenly slowed down walking. Instead of going to the room, she went to the kitchen.

At Travis’ house, the twins that the young man met were both frowning. He brought up the foods he bought, including the ice cream but no changes in their reactions. Travis sighed before sitting down next to them.
