As he stares at the door she ran out of, Lucien is taken aback by her action. He slowly recalls what he might have done to deserve that and ruin their happy hot moment, and he can't help but curse himself as he realizes it is because of his last action.

If he had known it would cause her to react the way she did, he would not have done it, he begins to regret his action.

He is hurt not only because she pushed him off and slapped him, but also because the memories he has formed with her can make her cry instead of smile.
