CHAPTER NINE

FELIX’S POV

Felix and his step-sisters quickly escorted the bed trolley out of the ambulance as some nurses and a doctor rushed his father into the VVIP ward.

“We will take it up from here?” the doctor said to Felix as they went into the ward.

“Will he be okay?” Stephanie asked, almost crying. She got no answer, the ward was closed. Felix pats Stephanie on her shoulders as she walks to get water. Beverly walks close to Felix outside the ward. They both looked at each other.

“Have you come to gloat about yourself again?” he asked her.

“Not at all.”

“Then what do you want?”

“My father is in there, I’m just concerned.”
