Nevaeh’s POV

I went back to the police station the following day. I went straight to Lady Audrey’s desk.

“Hi, Lady Audrey,” I greeted.

She looked up from the files she was sorting out and smiled at me. “Hey, Nevaeh. How are you?” she asked.

“I’m good. Can I…”

She stood up. “Yeah, I will take you to her.”

“No, I want to talk with you,” I said.

“Oh,” her lips formed an “O” in surprise before sitting down. “I thought you came to see Ximena. Please have a seat,” she said.

I sat opposite her. “I don’t want to face her yet. She must still be mad at me,” I said. “I want to ask you a favor.”

“Go on, I’m all ears.”

“Can I get the attorney’s contact details? You don’t have to tell Ximena about it, please,” I asked.
