CHAPTER NINETY SIX

“You are here” Simon smiled as soon as Natalie took the seat in front of him.

He had been unsure of whether she was going to honor his invitation because honestly he had no card up his sleeve anymore and he needed her for what he was about to do.

He wasn’t going to tell her the whole truth about the reason he wanted them to date but she had to accept his proposal if this was going to work and if he was going to be able to get out of the bind he was in at the moment with his ex fiancé.

Natalie folded her arms across her chest and glared at him

“Go straight to the point” she announced, her face brooking no argument

“Would you like to be my girlfriend, Natalie” Simon declared, his eyes on her

She stared at him for a long while like he had developed two heads and waited for a second so he could tell her that he was definitely joking or maybe point to a camera somewhere and yell “Surprise” but he was doing no such thing; instead he continued staring as I stood shocked.
