CHAPTER SIXTY THREE

The drive back from the media house was filled with an awkward silence. Amelia sat in the passenger seat, her mind swirling with a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. She couldn't shake off the memory of that unexpected kiss or the weight of Jackson's words hung heavy in the air. He had declared her as someone he wanted to be better for, someone he cared about deeply. But why? And what did it mean?

They had been no mention of doing anything of that sort and as much as she wanted to barrage him with loads of questions. She decided it was better to remain silent until he was ready to offer an explanation.
