Chapter 117: There Is Nowhere To Run To  

Margret nodded in agreement as she also had similar thoughts. Everything they had in Houston was either destroyed or lost, and it was clear that they could never live happily under the watch of Madame Agnes. Furthermore, they didn't even have enough money for their wedding ceremony.

The next morning, Charlie Sr. and Margret Owen prepared their travel documents and headed to Houston Airport. While undergoing routine checks, an immigration officer approached them and asked them to follow him.

"Sir Charlie Sr. and Mrs. Owen, please come with me," the officer said.

Charlie Sr. and Margret exchanged glances before following the officer to the airport security office. Their travel documents were placed on the table, and the man in charge informed them that they couldn't leave Houston due to security reasons.

"We apologize, Mr. and Mrs. White, but it is not possible for you to leave Houston at this time," the man said calmly.
