Chapter 34:  A Traumatic Twist of Fate.

Madame Agnes got out of bed, her eyes darkened with rage. She glowered at Butler Mark, scorn dripping from her voice "Why didn't the spy I had embedded in the house stop him from executing his plans?"

Butler Mark's face whitened in fear. He hastily tried to explain, "Madame Agnes, the spies there aren't skilled in combat. It would have been a one-sided massacre that would have not amounted to much."

Madame Agnes's fury increased. She snapped back, "What are you trying to say? Can't you use your brain? It would have held off the attack and reinforced the message, that if anything happened to my grandson, all of you would be killed."

Butler Mark was drenched in sweat. He stammered uneasily and replied, "Our spies couldn't settle himself close enough to report on the condition of your grandson. As far as his safety, we know there is no immediate risk."

Madame Agnes pursed her lips in annoyance. She pointedly said, "Of course, if he were in any real danger, the consequences for Robertson
