Chapter 63: A New Son-In-Law

As Mr. Jones and his entourage approached, Margaret's pupils dilated while Daniel trembled with fear. Margaret confronted Mr. Jones with anger, "Jones, what brings you here?"

Ignoring her, Mr. Jones turned to Mrs. Owen with a fawning smile and asked, "Mother-in-law, what's going on? Why are you all here in the hospital?"

Brenda discreetly tugged on her mother's shirt and gave her a wink. Mrs. Owen's sullen expression transformed into a beaming smile as she replied, "Mr. Jones, my husband has been admitted to the hospital, that's why we're here."

Mr. Jones frowned and inquired, "What happened to my father-in-law?"

Daniel flew into a rage and shouted at Mr. Jones, "Who do you think you're calling father-in-law?"

Mr. Jones' face darkened as he glanced at Daniel and recognized him. "Oh, you're the brat who came to challenge me in my company the other day. It seems you're doing fine now," he said in a threatening voice. Daniel's gaze darted around in fear, and Brenda's face turned pale.
