POV: Maddison

I called the tender and paid for my drinks,power walking the fuck out of there.

James was fast on my heels.

"Hey, Maddie, wait up!" He shouted, laughing and nearly tripping over himself as he tried to get to me.

"No, you're drunk. Go home, James!" I called out, quickening my pace now because he was getting close to me.

The streets were empty but thankfully, the street lamps offered enough light to help me navigate my way.

I had thought it'd be best to have this 'date' as far away from my home as possible because I'd been having a bad feeling about James for a while now. I didn't want him following me and finding out where I lived.

But it was about to turn back and bite me in the ass because I couldn't possibly run all the way back home now. Buses no longer operated at this time and I needed to stop at a safe distance to book an uber and I still had to wait for the uber to show up. What am I going to d–
