True date

I watched them order, my heart, hanging in my throat, praying to hell that he would shut up about the food.

The food was brought to them and I watched him dip his baguette into the bread sauce that was brought for him. He grimaced as the bread flaked to pieces when he broke it and dipped it into the sauce and winced when he placed it in his mouth.

The food was horrible.

"This..." He said, wincing and chewing, "this is incredibly delicious."

I face palmed myself.

Alice side eyed him and I scrambled around hastily to save the night. "Talk about music. Ask her about music."

"Uh... What type of music do you like?" He asked, tapping his fingers impatiently on the table.

She jumped at the topic immediately, forgetting all about his bullshit statement about the 'incredibly delicious' horrible food.

"I really like folk music." She said eagerly, stars in her eyes.

"Me too," he was quick to state.

"Oh, is that so. Who is your favorites folk artist?"
