Nightmares

I roused awake around midnight, unable to sleep and momentarily confused about what I was doing in this strange room, on this strange bed.

I stretched, uncurling my body a bit, feeling my muscles stretching and my bones and joints, making cracking sounds as I stretched.

I froze when I bumped into someone, my mind, pausing for a moment... And then, it all came coming back.
