CHAPTER 36 - THE NIGHTCLUB

I went up to get my notebook and the documents about lawyer Phill before we left to return to our city. During the journey, we discussed the company, the writers, and the evaluation of their scripts, highlighting the points we needed to improve in the stories. We also reviewed the steps of the movie production with our star writer, maintaining an animated conversation throughout the trip.

In the late afternoon, we stopped in front of my building. As I got out, Patrick lowered the car window to get my attention.

“Miss Elisabeth, behave well this weekend and rest a lot, as we will be traveling on Monday morning,” he said, smiling provocatively and signaling for Greg to drive away.

“What did he mean by 'behave'?” I asked myself as his words echoed in my mind. The elevator was strangely working, and the lobby seemed to have undergone a renovation, with security guards at every point. “Did I enter the right building?”
