I tried to open my eyes but the light coming from the open window made it impossible. I could feel drowsiness as my body laid on the hospital bed and a sharp pain in my right hand. I tried again after a couple of moments and it took me a few attempts to open them widely.

I found myself in a hospital room and many tubes attatched to my body. My hand immediately went to my tummy, though it's still flat but I could feel my baby there. Relief washed over me but soon it turned into a frown when I spotted an unexpected figure sleeping on the sofa.
