"Calm down honey, he's bound to be furious now. He needs some time to think things through, then he'd come around," Silas said with her hand on her shoulder.

"I know I have no right to butt in but I have to say what you did is almost unforgivable. I haven't known Andrew for too long, but I've seen the pain that he has gone through during his childhood. Even though you weren't a good father to him, you put so much pressure on him to succeed and just to gain acceptance and some love from you, he has strived as much as he could to be as intelligent as he is today, but you kept pushing him away. How could you even lie to him that his mother was in London, when she has been in New York all this time? Were you trying to keep him from knowing how much she didn't care for him?
