Andrew looked at Stacey as he wondered if she had actually heard what he had said.

"I heard you say Miller has liked me since the first time we were introduced," Stacey pressed on.

She just wanted to know if that was what she actually heard, because she had liked Miller since a long time and wanted to know if she was the only one with those feelings. He had always seemed unreachable because he was the governor's son and she was only the daughter of a maid.
