ENTRANCED

Katherine had a feeling that princess Athena wanted her to get devoured by wild animals which was why she kept sending her to get flowers from the forest everyday.

Each time she brought the flowers to princess Athena, all she did was smell them and throw them in the trash.

Going to the forest and coming back took her approximately five hours but no one cared about her efforts. She had never gotten any form of appreciation from the princess but sometimes ended up being starved throughout the day.

Just like other days, she silently prayed to go into the forest and come back unscathed because she took a huge risk each time she went into the forest.

After walking for a very long time, Kathy finally arrived at the spot which housed all of the princess's favourite flowers.

She plucked as much as she knew the princess always needed for the day but when she was going back home, she heard the voices of different men.

She felt so afraid that she ran and hid herself by a tree. She began to sweat profusely as she waited for the men to eventually leave.

She waited for more than an hour but it seemed like the men were not going to leave. She looked at the flowers in her hands and knew that if she didn't get them to the princess in time, she was going to be severely punished.

She figured that she had more chances of successfully making a run for it now that it was still dark. If she waited for the sun to rise, she would be caught too easily.

She peeped at the men and noticed that they were three. There was a camp fire in their midst and they sat around it, drinking and talking.

Katherine took deep breaths, held the flowers tightly and dashed past the men as fast as she could.

She kept running without looking back with as much speed as her body could afford. But when she was almost out of the forest, she pumped into a hard chest and fell down.

The flowers slipped off her hands and she screamed, "no" and frantically tried to pick them up. She briefly forgot about the threat of danger as she worried about what princess Athena would do to her if the flowers got ruined.

After picking up the flowers, Kathy realized she had bumped into a man and immediately stood up.

The man held up the big torched stick on his hand and Kathy saw his face just as he saw hers.

Katherine was held spellbound for a while. In all her years of living, she had never seen a handsomer man. She knew that she needed to be afraid and run away from this man as fast as possible.

But there was something about him that made her feel safe. She felt he wouldn't harm her no matter what happened.

What she found shocking was the fact that the man also kept looking at her. He seemed to be entranced as he kept looking at her without a saying a word.

His eyes never left hers for even a second and as if it was the most natural thing to do, he raised up his hand which was free and tucked her loose strands of hair behind her ear.

When his fingers brushed through her ear, Kathy felt butterflies in her stomach. This was the closest she had ever been to any man and the feelings she was experiencing at the moment were completely foreign to her.

They kept staring at each other until the man moved closer to her, much closer and much much closer until they were only a breath apart.

Kathy wanted to speak. She wanted to ask this man who he was and what he was doing to her but the words were stuck in her throat.

She looked at his long and silky hair in admiration just as his large palm moved closer her face and caressed it slowly. This was too good to be true, Kathy thought to herself. Everything felt so, surreal so she began to tell herself that she was dreaming.

She was probably back at home, sleeping on the floor where Meela designated for her to be sleeping and having the best dream of her life. The way she felt was something she knew she would never be able to describe.

She just had one wish, this dream shouldn't come to an end. She wanted to stare at this man forever and bask in this feeling of pure bliss.

She was certain of one thing though. This man was a warrior. A very strong one at that. His stance and his mannerisms were nothing short of that of a powerful warrior and his clothes which had weapons around them were not worn by ordinary men. Yes he was definitely a warrior.

She couldn't take the rapid beating of her heart anymore and closed her eyes. However, this warrior pulled her a little bit forward and she opened her eyes when she felt his lips on hers.

She opened her eyes wide as the feeling of getting her very first kiss completely overwhelmed her.

While they were still kissing, a voice suddenly broke their moment and asked, "what do you think you are doing, Mason?"
