When we got to the hospital we were lucky to find a willing doctor to help us. They were all leaving for their houses although they were not supposed to. The health facility was a 24 hours healthcare service provider. That however had changed with the impending destructive war getting closer to the towns from the city. Nowhere was safe anymore.

It was no longer safe to walk on the streets at night alone and especially when one was a doctor or a medical personnel. The gangs and mafia groups were kidnapping them to go heal their fighters injured in battle since they couldn't bring them to hospital for fear of being arrested by the local authorities.

I asked the other guards to wait outside as I stayed behind in the waiting room. Blake was in surgery. The doctor said he had lost a lot of blood and passed out due to excessive bleeding. My prayer was they found a match of his blood group in the blood bank. I didn't know any of his family members and the ones h
