“Miss, could you prepare a bath and a set of comfortable clothes for us to change and rest,” Samantha asked when the maid was about to leave.
“Yes, my Lady. My Lady, you can call me Anna,” the maid said.
“Anna, I will call you like that,” Samantha said.
The maid bowed and left their chamber. Abigail was oddly silent. Samantha wanted to say something but said nothing. She maintained her silence. Samantha knew many things happened in the past two hours or so.
On the day of arrival, they were welcomed with warmth, then love, then hatred, and then some mystery.
