Xander's POV
Waking up with a slight migraine, I looked down, slowly pushing the body that lay on my chest. She was still fast asleep. Running my hands through my hair, I let out a huff. Last night was the same as all other nights. Get drunk and get laid. Same pointless sex.
Wrapping a towel round my abdomen, I walked to the bathroom to have a quick shower. I needed to get my thoughts together as I stayed beneath the shower for what seemed like forever. Eventually, I was done and turned it off. Getting out of the bathroom, I met the girl already seated. I don't even know her name.
"Hi, good morning." she greeted shyly. I'm sure she must be feeling on top of the world for being in my bed. If only she knew it meant nothing to me. I put up a smile and played along.
"Good morning. How are you?" I asked.
"Fine. Just a little sore." she added, pouting.
"Sorry, I'll leave you to freshen up.
"Okay."
I went to the wardrobe and picked up the clothes that I'll wear. Done with that, I picked up my phones and walked out of the room, fake smiling.
The second I got out, I dropped it, letting out a sigh. Today was a Saturday so there no one in the house except my brother and I. It meant we were free to do whatever we wanted. I took a bottle of water from the fridge and drank directly from it. Xavier came to me a while later.
"Good morning." he greeted, but I ignored him.
"Hey! I'm talking to you!" He said, his voice a lot louder.
"Isn't it too early in the morning to be yelling?" I asked, glaring at him.
"I... Whatever. What happened here last night?" He asked instead.
"None of your business." answered, throwing the now empty bottle away. That must've ticked him off as we began glaring at each other, suddenly angry for no reason.
Actually, there was a reason why we so angry at each but it was so serious I can't discuss it now. Maybe never again. Whoever thought we were really close as brothers would see a different story if he met us this way. The girl I spent the night with came downstairs, disrupting our little stare–down.
"I'll be leaving now
"She said, staring at both of us with a perplexed look on her face.
"Yeah, goodbye" I answered, not looking at her. She seemed surprised as she opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Eventually, she shook her head and left.
Xavier waited until she was out before he came lashing down at me.
"Seriously? Xander? It's her now!? Just tell me, how many girls have you slept with? 60, 70 or maybe even a hundred?"
"What I do..." I started going closer to him," Is none of your business.... Excuse me but I'll like to go for my morning jog now." I said, leaving him there.
Getting to the door, I stopped and turned."
"Besides it's not like you are a saint as well. Remember?" And with that I jogged out of the room..

Xavier's POV
I remember Xander, I remember so well I wish I could forget. But I can't. And I wish I did. I glanced at the family photo in the room. That was the last time I genuinely smiled at my brother. If only mom was here, but she was gone and it's all Xavier's fault. But now he blames me for the mistake that happened two years ago.
Trying not to feel guilty about it, I took my car keys and headed for my car, driving out of the house to ease the pain. A man's gotta to do what he gotta do.

Natalie's POV
"Wakey wakey, sleepy head," Jace called. I mumbled and fluttered my eyes, getting a glimpse of the city. The city!? I opened my eyes fully now. How long have I asleep? I wondered.
I gasped as we flew past high-rise buildings, people in their large numbers outside briskly walking. Everything seemed so fast here, a sharp contrast to Middesville. I want to go home...
"Are we home yet?" I asked.
"No, not yet. We don't live in this part of the city." Greg answered.
"Who lives here then?"
"Middle-class people," Jace answered.
"Aren't we middle class?" I asked, confused. Jace turned to look at me.
"No," he stated flatly.
We're not? That's new. I glanced outside as Greg drove around the city. Everything was so big and tall. Eventually we crossed a toll bridge and we found ourselves in a totally new place.
"Wait.... We're wealthy?" I asked, getting the hint.
"When you have five hardworking, handsome to death brothers and army general as a dad, you don't expect to be poor." Jace added.
"Then what were we doing in Middesville."
"Mom's idea" Greg answered
"And it worked."
I wanted to ask more questions, but I stopped. I was beginning to get bored anyway. I stared at all the expensive cars that passed by us, with wealthy people in them. It made me feel a little out of place because I was already used to riding bicycles around.
Eventually we came to a stop at a mansion, the most beautiful I've ever seen.
"Whoa" I Said aloud.
"You like it?" Jace asked." I shrugged.
"I don't know. I'll have to get inside first." I said.
The gate electronically opened and Greg drove in. Every single thing was a masterpiece, from the artificial fountain to the lawn and.... Everything. My oh my.
Finally Greg parked his car in the garage and when I got out u realised that it wasn't the only car there. I'm going to count that later.
"You built this? " I asked Greg since he was an architect.
"Not really. Bought it and renovated the parts I didn't like." he answered.
"Typical Maddox" I muttered.
Soon Maggie, Greg's girlfriend, came out to welcome us.
"Hello... And welcome." She greeted.
"Hi, you're pretty, much prettier than the last time I saw you." I commented. She looked startled.
"Well, your brother has been stuffing me." She answered. "Please come in. How was the ride?"
"Boring. Greg didn't let me take the wheel." Jace answered.
"We all know that you're a terrible driver."
"I bet we would have been here 20 minutes faster if I had taken the wheel"
"Well am glad you didn't." Greg countered.
"Um, Natalie, you can leave the boxes. The house keeper will bring it in later." Maggie told me.
"Thanks. By the way, it's Natty. No one calls me Natalie except they want my fists stuck in their face." I said, smiling. She smiled back.
"Okay. I'll try to remember that. Let me show you your room."
"Okay."
Maggie led me through a grand staircase to a hall way with lots of doors in it.
"This will be your room," she said, opening one of them. " Greg already told me you'll be coming, so I did my best to decorate it to your best interest. I hope you like it."
I did. It was painted blue and white with splashes of green in it and looked like a basketball court. It even had a basketball hoop!
"I do. Thanks Aunt Maggie." I said hugging her.
"Aww, no need. It's what I should be doing."
I jumped on the bed and immediately started bouncing on it. " The bed's extra bouncy too!"
"It sure is.... I'll be downstairs. You can just call me if you need anything." She said.
"There'll be no need for that. I'll just come right down."
"Thats fine too. I'll leave you alone now. See you later," Maggie said and closed the door behind her.
I laid on the bed, sighing. Bringing out my phone, I dialed Ariana's number. Time to call my bestie.

(Evening time)
"Dinner's ready!" Maggie called from the kitchen.
"Great, cause am already starving" Jace groaned.
"You ate like 30 minutes ago." I complained.
"And i'm still hungry."
"Whatever."
"What are we having for dinner, anyway?" Greg asked, coming inside the room.
"Mashed potatoes, lasagna and..."
"Stuffed chicken!!"
"Natty's idea" Maggie objected. We all laughed.
After settling down at the dining table, I said a quick prayer and soon everyone began digging in.
"Taste's good" I complimented.
"If I ate this every day, I'd grow fat." Jace mumbled between mouthfuls.
"Thank God you don't." I said sticking out my tongue to him.
"Manners Natalie." Greg scolded.
"As if you have any...." I muttered. Thank God he didn't hear me. I stared at both my brothers..
"Quick question. Can I go for my evening jog after dinner?"
"As long as you're not getting into trouble.'
"I'll try not to. Thanks anyway."
After dinner, I helped Maggie with the dishes and went to get ready for my jog. My brothers settled down to watch television.
"Come back before its too late!" Jace called after me as I stepped out.
"Okay." I said, closing the door behind me. The sun was setting, casting its last rays in the sky. A few people were out as well. Some walking, others staring at me wondering what a girl like me would be doing jogging, but I cared less.
Since I wasn't familiar with this place, I made sure not to jog too far from home. Just as I was about to cross the street to the other side, a car came screeching to a halt In front of me, startling me and making me fall down. What the heck! Don't they know how to drive here too?
"Hey! Can't you see where you're going!? " I yelled at whoever was in the car as I stood up to dust my clothes.
"I should be asking you the same question," the person retorted, getting out of the car.
"Excuse me? You almost crashed into me and that's all you have to say? I could have been seriously injured!" I yelled back, anger building up in me. He couldn't even say sorry!
How immature!
"Do you even have any idea on who you're talking to?" he asked.
Now who the hell does he think he is? Wait, a minute... He looks familiar, but where have I seen him?
In the magazines Ariana always keeps!! My subconscious yelled at me. No way! This is... Xavier Anderson! What's he doing here??
Xavier's POVI watched as her expression went from anger to surprise, but nothing close to shock. Damn! She's pretty."Anyway, I still think you should apologise. I could have been seriously hurt there," she said, glaring at me. She sure has some nerve, funny I haven't seen around here."Well, it's a good thing you aren't. Can you please leave? I'd like to go now." I said, frowning."Is it so hard for you to say sorry?""Go to Babylon for that!" I snapped and got back into my car, driving off. Watching her from my rearview mirror, I saw that she still stood there, probably surprised at my outburst. I must've made a very bad impression on her. A part of me wanted to apologise, so I slowed down, but as usual, I waved it off and drove away again. I've gone past caring about people feeling's. Who needs them anyway??***Natalie's POVI stood still, completely shocked. Isn't that the same guy Ariana is always drooling ab
Xander's POV"Dad called." Xavier announced on the dining. We've been sitting opposite each other for a while now, neither of us saying anything, and suddenly he announces this."Did he?" I asked."Yes. He said he wanted to check up on us. See how we were faring." He answered."What did you tell him?""We're fine.""Okay..." I muttered and continued eating. I have a feeling he's not done yet. " Xander, he's heard. People are telling him." he suddenly said, peering at me. I raised my brows as if I wasn't concerned."Heard what?" I asked."Your consistent partying. He made a long speech about that affecting his image....""It's all about his image, isn't it?" suddenly snapped, cutting him off. " Everything is about his image to the press, isn't it? He doesn't come home, never calls and when he finally does it is to tell us it's affecting his image.... Seriously?""It's not about that, Xander. You should
(Same day: evening time)Natalie's P. O. VI'm in my room staring at the uniform I got in preparation for my resumption to Ambrose high school tomorrow. The parcel had arrived earlier with a few other things and I was in my room trying to get it to sink in. Putting the clothes on my body and staring at the mirror in front of me, it looked perfect. I sighed. I'll never get used to it.Throwing it carelessly on the bed, I took up my phone and called up Ariana. She picked up at the first ring." Hey, girl." I greeted." Wassup? How's my favorite baby doll doing?" She greeted cheerfully. " First off, I'm not a doll. Second, I'm not so good. Missed you guys like hell," I said into the phone." We missed you too. Everyone has been mopping around since you left."" Aww. Say hi for me."" Will do. Soo... Any gist?"" Not much... Oh, I met the Anderson brothers."" You did!! Ariana shrieked and I frowned as I put the phone away from my
Natalie's P. O. VThe visit to the principal's office earned me an ID card with a small piece of book that contained the school rules, which am positive no one follows around here. Mira had earlier wanted to accompany me to class, but I dismissed her, I can manage on my own. She's been enough help. Walking through the now-empty hall as the bell had rung and there were all in their classes, I looked for my class and finally found it. Taking deep breaths, I relaxed and pulled the door open, entering into my class.First things first, the class was huge. The chairs seemed comfortable and spacy as well, not cramped like my former school. Not that I hated it, I especially liked jutting into people's seats for the fun of it. Sucks I won't be doing it here. The class immediately went quiet the moment they saw me, checking me out. They must have wondered where I come from. I glanced around the class and saw Mira; she was waving and pointing at the empty seat beside her. There were
Natalie's P. O. VI had gotten home before I realized that my ID card was no longer with me. Damn! I must've forgotten it at the basketball court. There's no way I'm going back to look for that one now. I'll just have to get a new one... Hopefully.I had just finished dressing up after my shower and was getting into my bed when someone knocked and without waiting for my reply, butted in. I should have known it was Jace." Hey sis, have you seen me?..."" For the last time, Jace, stop entering my room without a shirt!!! I'm not your girlfriend!" I yelled at him. It was a joke though, he's always going to keep doing that. I threw a pillow at him." Okay, okay... I'm sorry. Have you seen my suspenders?"" No!"" Someone sounds feisty." He noted. I groaned. He's not leaving anytime soon." Whatever. " He jumped on the bed, peering at me. " Soo... How was school today?" He asked. I walked to my wardrobe, giving him one of my many oversized sh
Natalie's P. O. VAs expected, Xander looked down. Using that quick distraction, I snatched the ball from him and made my way to the other side of the court, where I shot and it scored. I had won. I turned to him; he looked completely shocked. That brought laughter to my face." Hey! That's not fair! " He said, astonished. I bounced the ball back to him." Life's not fair," I answered." You cheated!"" It's only cheating when other people see it. " Looking around, I said, " They didn't, so I won."Xander couldn't say anything. He just stared at me, his mouth open." I didn't expect you to fall for that anyway, but you did, so..." I trailed off, smirking. " Remember, you owe me a bottle of soda," I said before walking out of the basketball court. I met Mira at the entrance, her eyes wide with shock." Did you beat Xander, like beat him??" she asked." It was just a friendly match... Nothing serious." I said nonchalantly." No w
" What did you do back there!?" I asked Xavier the second we arrived home. He had been ignoring me after he agreed on that bet and even when Natalie left for home and I couldn't even talk to him after the party ended." It's what you wanted, right? To fight me. Prove you are better... Or better still, pay me back for what I did years ago." He answered, still backing." Even I still hate you for what you did... There are better ways to solve that problem!"" I think this is perfect," He turned finally looking at me. It sent shivers down my spine. " Besides, it's just Natalie. How hard can it be? If you win, you'll finally have your sweet revenge. But if I win... There are a lot of things I plan to do as well. Have a good night." He said and walked inside the room, slamming the door behind him.I ran my hand through my hair in frustration and groaned. This should be easy, right? I mean, it's just a girl, right... How hard can it be?It's not just a girl, my su
Xavier's P. O. VI didn't go to school today due to some personal issues I had to solve, so I didn't know what occurred between Xander and Natalie. Either way, I dreaded going home, because it meant I had to go see Xander. I stayed in the car for a few more moments, taking in deep breaths while closing my eyes. When I was sure I was ready, I got out of the car and walked in.It looked like a storm had hit the living room. Everything was scattered around and it was completely messy. I swallowed. It could only mean one thing. Xander was here, and he was in a bad mood... No, not bad... Terrible. I managed to make my way out of the mess and started to look for Xander." Xander! I called, but no reply. Gosh! Where is he?? I can't go look for him in every nook and cranny of this house. I eventually found him, and he sat amid empty liquor bottles. He had been drinking with his head bent as if he was crying, although I wouldn't be sure. I heard no sobs." Xander?" I call
