(Lily’s POV)

I didn't have a good night's sleep; I kept wondering where Alfonso had run off to and why he lied about it.

I had just started to doze off comfortably when Frank ran into my room.

“Morning.” He said this as he began jumping on the bed.

I rolled over and smiled at him. “Why are you up so early?” I asked, finally realizing that I had been awake all night.

“I want to go back to day care.” He exclaimed enthusiastically.

I sighed as I begrudgingly got out of bed. “I will help you get ready then.”

I also have to go to work. Alone this time.

I looked at my phone, and there were no texts or calls from Alfonso. Maybe it had something to do with the mafia? I wondered.

Lily, you don't have to overthink it; if it's business—mafia or otherwise—he won't be on his phone all the time. He'll text or call later.

I helped Frank get ready as he kept telling me about the many friends he made at day care. He also has a best friend named Blaire now.

“So you are having fun in day care?” I asked
