CHAPTER SIXTY

My strategy was successful; Rory couldn't get enough of me the following week. He texted me daily to see how I was doing and even visited me for tea one evening. It was a bit bothersome that he appeared content to just sit there and watch a movie. This was not what I had in mind for my strategy to accomplish, as I already had a sufficient number of pals.

When I see Liam at the office, I fill him in on everything that happened, and we come to the conclusion that the next time Rory is in the area, Liam should force his way in, hijack our evening, and flirt with me to drive Rory into a fit of jealous rage.

On Wednesday, Rory asked if I would like to grab a takeaway, and he indicated that he would be around at approximately eight o'clock in the evening. Because Liam has no obligations, we have deliberated his arrival to coincide with ours. I know this is childish, but I don't see how else to put it. I don't want to be parted from Rory, and I hope that in the years to come when we are both
