Ben didn't know he was back in San Antonio until they got to the airport. It was his first time entering a plane and to cap it, it was a private plane.

In the car ride, he had sat with Rolph and was even allowed to doze off on Rolph's shoulder. Not that he did it Intentionally, it just happened that he dozed off and his head fell on his master's shoulder. Instead of pushing him away, Rolph had adjusted his position so Ben would be more comfortable. He didn't wake up until they got to the airport.
