CHAPTER 37

I heard a loud and straight knock on the door.

I forced my eyes open. I waited for seconds until my vision became almost clear. Rubbing my eyes I looked at the open window.

I could see the orange colored sky. The sun is just starting to rise.

The knocking on the door continued.

"Coming!" I shouted hoarsely as I got up and removed the blanket from my body.

The knocking on the door has stopped.

I got out of bed then slightly walked towards the door. I immediately opened it.

Vish's young maid came up to me.

"Good morning, Ms. Mercado. Sir said you two should have breakfast together. He is waiting downstairs". She was smiling.

I smiled sparingly at her. "What time is it?"

"It's five o'clock in the morning, miss. Sir wakes up really early". She replied as if she read what was on my mind.

"Alright. I'll be down in fifteen minutes."

The girl suddenly reached for the clothes she was holding. "This is the dress you will wear today. Sir said to give these to you".

I accepted them with a smile.
