Chapter 11: The loyal beta

NYX'S POV.

Savio left the dungeon and Atlas turned to me with a cold, menacing look in his eyes. I felt a shiver run down my spine when he approached me, his footsteps heavy and deliberate.

"Listen carefully, Nyx," he said in a low, deadly voice. "I hope you understand the gravity of what you just signed up for."

I swallowed and looked away but he clenched my chin in his grasp, his fingers digging into my skin. "You are mine now, and I will not tolerate any attempt to escape. If you even think of trying to run, what I have done to you will seem like a child's play compared to what I have in store for you."

His words hung in the air like a deadly threat, and I felt a surge of fear wash over me. I knew he meant every word, and the thought of what he could do to me if I tried to escape was almost too much to bear.

"You are a smart girl, Nyx," he said. "I hope you will continue to remember that."

As Atlas spoke, a dark smile crept across his face, sending a chill down my spine. His eyes f
