Chapter 32: Actions and consequences

NYX'S POV.

I wake up to the sight of Elaine looking at me with worry etched all over her face. I groan softly, trying to sit up but the pain in my groin area forces me back down. It feels like I've been hit by a truck, my body is so sore and my head is pounding.

The sick feeling in my stomach intensifies, and I know I'm about to throw up. I stumble out of bed and race to the bathroom, barely making it to the toilet before my stomach empties its contents.

I stay there for a few minutes, my body wracked with dry heaves, until I finally manage to pull myself together. I feel utterly humiliated and violated, and the thought of facing Atlas or anyone else in the pack makes me want to crawl into a hole and disappear.

But I can't hide from my mistakes. I have to face the consequences of my actions and make things right. I take a deep breath and stand up, my legs wobbling beneath me.
