CHAPTER FORTY

Luna instantly started scrambling off the bed immediately Alex said that about Chris. She really hoped that she didn't say more than she was meant to say.

Alex also stood up and gripped her hand when she was about to get off the bed. "I asked a question, Luna. I need to know." He released his grip on her hand. "What did you mean by that? I could just let him go because he's been acting weird lately. He no longer works like before."

She straightened her back, and parted her lips to speak. "It's nothing. I was talking about the day...um, you caught us in that room. We were both drunk, it's nothing." She shrugged it off, and started walking past him.
