CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN

It was as if Luna already knew who it was with the way her heart leaped when she heard it. She slowly turned her head to look at it - it was right on her bed, a few inches away from her.

She gulped down as her eyes settled on it. She didn't know what to do about it, the thought of throwing it away without even looking at it danced on her mind, but she brushed it off.

Breathing in and out, she picked the phone and turned the screen on. She opened her eyes to see the message.

Just like she expected, it was a message from Jess. It read 'I'm coming to get you...dead or alive.' That was it.

It scared Luna a bit, but when she remembered the way Alex handled him with remorse, she felt a bit better.

Without saying anything to that, she stood up from the bed and dashed to the bathroom. She let out a small cry of pain, as she limped inside it.

In the bathroom, she turned on the hot water, hoping that'd heal her leg.

it did.
