"Dad?" Ashley called gently after opening the door of her father's study which was a bit dark. Brown was sitting on his chair with his head bent over the desk. He had a little lamp beside him to help his investigation journey. That was how he preferred to read - in darkness with a little light. He said it helped him to concentrate well.
