CHAPTER 54

As soon as they made their way into the hospital room Nora could feel the gaze of the Alpha and it was already trained on both of them. It felt as though his stare was burning a hole right through her.

She cleared her throat to ease some of the awkwardness in the room and she was grateful when Alex managed to let go of her hand. She knew that he was only trying to provoke the Alpha but she didn't think that it was the time or the place for them to rile him up or to consider starting a fight with the man.

“Well doctor. We need an update on the Luna. I need you to tell me that she is doing better." the Alpha said to him. Alex stared at him for the longest time until Nora cleared her throat causing him to snap out of it.

He made his way over to the luna as he slowly eased her gown over her belly. It was strange that the Alpha didn't stop him or growl as he usually would but Nora guessed that it was because his wolf had accepted that Alex was simply there to help.
