OVERTAKEN

My body heated, dark-green energy coating my skin as I shifted into my Bear. My body became a blur as I raced toward my mate.

Using my Bear’s head, I shoved the second attacker off her and he went flying into the metal side of the building, leaving an indent in the shape of his body before he dropped to the ground.

Mark was just finishing with his two men, and I turned to find Atlas standing in the corner with her hands out.

I hadn’t realized she wasn’t in the fight, but now I could see that she was in her own way.

She stood with each of her hands directed toward the brick walls. A barely visible shimmering energy projected from her palms.

My eyes followed the trails of power and they each created a shield, likely keeping more wolf shifters from joining the impromptu attack.
